No strangers to the local entertainment scene, talented musicians Geoff Gibbons and Quince Collins bring acoustic guitar, mandolin, and vocals together in a unique fusion called The Relics. They offer an extensive and diverse repertoire of much-loved tunes, ranging from classic rock to traditional and folk, and everything in between. With their engaging and energetic style, you’ll never see the same show twice.
Geoff Gibbons
Geoff has been performing professionally since 2001. His first performances were with A Plate of Thirties, and Twenty-six Fingers. Geoff's unique rhythm guitar and vocals have shown up in other local groups such as Hard Drive, G 'n R, Brendan's Folly, and Evenkeel, and he has also performed countless solo acoustic shows. Geoff is mainly influenced by classic rock, and folk, including The Who, Barenaked Ladies, The Tragically Hip, Jim Croce, and Harry Chapin.
Quince Collins
Quince started his musical career in 1991 playing with the Collins Family. Since then he has contributed his vocals, guitar, and signature mandolin sound to bands including Final Exit, Dublin Trio, The Maritimers (while living in Toronto), Evenkeel, Eastern Gate, and Sunny Ridge before finding his current musical home with The Relics.
Quince’s music is influenced by Celtic, country, bluegrass, and classic rock, in addition to well-known local Newfoundland bands The Irish Descendants, Masterless Men, Sons of Erin, and Great Big Sea.
